As the lead website developer, designer and digital strategist for the Malone Painting website, a premier St. Louis painting contractor, I spearheaded the migration from Wix/Squarespace into a fully custom WordPress build hosted on WP Engine. I architected a robust content structure with custom post types for Services, Projects, and Locations, leveraging ACF fields and shortcodes to create reusable, SEO-optimized templates inside Elementor.
I designed and implemented dynamic features including:
- Interactive Services & Locations Architecture: Custom Elementor templates powered by CPTs and taxonomies, enabling scalable service pages, project galleries, and neighborhood-level SEO targeting.
- Advanced Booking & Tracking: A performance-first Acuity Scheduling integration with Elementor forms, GTM dataLayer events, and Meta Pixel tracking for instant lead capture and analytics.
- Custom Plugin Development: Built the Malone Custom Core plugin containing CPTs, taxonomies, schema (Local Business, Service, Project, Location), performance optimizations, and shortcodes for Elementor.
- Performance & SEO Optimization: Delivered preloading strategies for LCP, WebP image handling, clean SVG dividers, and structured schema to maximize PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse scores.
Beyond development, I collaborated on copywriting, content workflows, and design refinements—ensuring Malone’s new site not only reflects their trusted brand but also performs as a scalable, conversion-driven platform for local SEO growth.
